Whiskey Sour by Matthew Jannotta
Celebrate National Whiskey Sour Day, August 25, with Local Mixologist Matthew Jannotta and Maker’s Mark!
Ingredients:
2 oz Maker’s Mark whiskey
¾ ounce simple syrup
¾ ounce lemon juice
1 egg white
Maraschino cherry
Lemon peel
Angostura bitters
Instructions:
Drop egg white into a cocktail shaker. Add lemon, simple, and whiskey. Shake without ice for about 12 seconds or until mixture is very frothy.
Add a small amount of ice. Shake for another 12 second or until extra frothy.
Strain into a coupe glass, or a rocks glass with ice.
Garnish with a Luxardo cherry and express lemon peel.
Add three drops of angostura bitters and use a toothpick to make a swirl, or other pattern.
Serve and enjoy!
